Korrin and Sean
Korrin is a high school science teacher who is passionate about sustainability education, particularly in our food system. She has taught for over 15 years and focuses on work-based, hands-on learning. Sean has a variety of management, construction, and sustainability experience that is exceptionally valuable to the development of the farm (he is the driving force behind the BIG vision). Together, their skills are helping to grow an urban farm in the NorthEnd of Dubuque that is focused on educating students about our food system and careers in agriculture, along with providing local produce to the community.
Locations:
Dubuque Iowa, 52001
(former Weirich Field)

This is the beginning location for ReEvolution Farms. We began developing commercial soil beds at this location for the 2019 planting season. We have expanded this site to include 2 commercial beds, 2 student managed beds, 2 community garden plots, a hoophouse, and in the works is our animal husbandry area. This currently occupies half of the “field”, with space for current expansion (Greenhouses) in the future.

This is our newest edition to our operation, and is termed the “Indoor Grow Space”. We have remodeled this facility to house our hydroponic lettuce, greens, herbs, along with our microgreen production. It also houses our certified processing kitchen and freeze drying operation. We process produce from both the indoor grow operation and the soil operation on site to sell to restaurants and retail customers, along with processing freeze dried products from our produce, and others. Our freeze drying services can be rented out by members of the community, and is serving as a host site for a student run freeze dried snack business.
